Testimonials

We receive many letters from the families we've served, thanking us for our caring ways during their time of loss. Their words warm our hearts, and speak to you of our professionalism, compassion, and the true value of the services we provide.

  • We, the family of the late Carrie Lou Hollis Taylor, are so grateful for all you and the staff of Palmer Memorial Chapel have done. You made suggestions that aided in this experience being one that would really honor the life and demeanor of our precious loved one. Thank you for every expression, every act of kindness, and each extension of care. Your standard of excellence was indeed a "Hallmark of Integrity". It has aided us tremendously in accepting what God has allowed. May God's blessings be your as you reach out to other hurting families. Allow Him to use you to minister to His people and their needs.

I just wanted to say a very sincere thank you for everything you and your staff did in the direction of my stepdad, Palmer Martin's funeral; I know that directing funerals is a business, but you do it with such sensitivity, compassion, love, understanding, love that for me it felt more like a comforting spiritual experience, for lack of better words. You are truly a credit to your profession. You set the standard for excellence. I look forward to stopping in at the funeral home the next time I visit my mom and giving you an appreciative hug. Thanks again for all you did (and do).

The passing of my dearly beloved wife, Margaret P. Lewis was a very painful experience for me. The very professional and dignified manner in which you handled the service was very satisfactory and pleasing to me and my family and helped to relieve some of the pain. I just want to say thank you and I hope and pray for your continued success in your business.

A special thank you to Director Lorin Peri Palmer and her wonderful staff at Palmer Memorial Chapel for providing the utmost professional and personal services that could have been offered to our family. Ms. Palmer and her entire staff were there for us every step of the way and fulfilled our every need, comforting us and supportingus like you would your own family. The Desecration of African America Graves:

I once again "thank you" for your assistance in obtaining the " Index Burial Card" for Mrs. Hattie Brown. Palmer Memorial Chapel's record keeping has allowed me to "PROVE" that Mrs. Hattie Brown was buried just outside of the Weeks Cemetery...buried beside her husband ,as well as other countless others of her family and friends. The graves dated back to the early 1800's. Though unmarked...no one should have ever placed a roadway atop of them!
I want the family to know how much I appreciate the diligent record keeping of her family throughout the years.
Dr. Martin Luther King once stated, " The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice." A simple index card and obituary has won justice for Mrs. Hattie Brown and her people!

Sincerely,

S. Gary Graham
