Mrs. Cynthia Dianne Choice

Cynthia Dianne Choice, 67 years of age, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 7th 2024, at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation in Sumter, South Carolina. Born on September 6, 1956, in Manning, South Carolina to the late Robert Dixon and Ethel Young Dixon. She was the beloved youngest daughter of nine children. Cynthia was educated in the Clarendon County Public School system and was a proud Scotts Branch High School graduate of 1974. She then went on to study Cosmetology at Atlanta Area Technical College. Our beloved Cynthia married husband, Ernest A. Choice of Summerton, SC in 1983 and to this loving union, two daughters were born, Chenell R. Choice and Tiffany (Symeon) Choice-Graham. Seeing her passion for cosmetology blossom Cynthia became a Master Barber and Instructor. She then made her way back to South Carolina and opened her own barbershop, Total D’Clips with her beloved husband, Ernest. She worked in this position in her community for over 30 years and became lovingly known as “Mrs. D”. Cynthia was also very active within her sorority, Alpha Phi Chi National Sorority, Inc., where she leaves behind a host of loving sisters. Cynthia was known for her love and care for her family and community and will truly be missed by many. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her siblings: Ethel Mae Becton, Ernest Dixon, and Leroy Dixon. She leaves to cherish precious memories, her beloved husband, Ernest A. Choice; two daughters, Chenell R. Choice and Tiffany (Symeon) Choice Graham, both of Sumter; siblings, Naomia Forbes, Manhattan, NY, Lillian Dukes and Johnnie Dixon, both of Bronx, NY, Joseph (Shirley) Dixon, South Hill, VA, and Michael Bennett, Manning, SC; two loving step sons: Michael Frierson and Eric Felder; grandchildren, Jordan Choice, Master Camrin Graham, Little Miss Madison Graham, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to her beloved Sorority's scholarship program in the name of Cynthia Dianne Choice.
