Eden Michelle Cooper was born on November 3, 1988, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Diane Gayle Brown and the late Charles Edward Cooper. From the beginning, Eden’s life was marked by warmth, strength, and a deep love for those around her. Eden was the devoted mother of three beautiful daughters—Araya, Mashaya, and Rita Grace—who were the light of her life. She shared her home and heart with Steve Campbell, her beloved partner of over a decade and the father of her children. Though not yet married, they were engaged and had built a life rooted in love, commitment, and quiet strength. Their family life was filled with laughter, learning, and deep connection. Eden was fearless. When others hesitated, she moved forward—leading not with words but by example. Her courage helped those around her find their own. She also had a tender heart for all living things, showing daily care and affection for animals—feeding birds and squirrels, watching over strays, and offering a home to those in need. Her kindness touched not just people, but every creature she encountered. She faced life’s hardest battles with strength and dignity, including her long journey of recovery from addiction. Eden walked that path with fierce determination. To Steve, an Iraq war veteran, her perseverance through that struggle was as courageous as any battle he had ever witnessed. Her will to heal and grow was a quiet testament to the depth of her spirit. In the final month of her life, Eden made a profound and beautiful commitment: she dedicated herself fully to Christ Jesus. Though she had always believed, she took a decisive step toward living her faith with her whole heart. Together with Steve, she began inquiring into the Orthodox Christian Church and looked forward to becoming a member. It was a moment of peace and clarity, a quiet miracle that came just in time. Eden left this life with her heart turned fully to God, and we trust she now rests in the eternal light of His love. She leaves 3 beautiful children and a host of family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
