Mrs. Elisabeth Maria Mobley

Elisabeth Maria Mobley departed this earthly life at home in the loving care of her family, to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, June 29th, 2014. Born November 15th, 1943 in Neuss, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Ludwig Ingensandt and Martha Eisenbarth Ingensandt van der Bend. Liz was educated in the German school system. As an adult, Liz met and married the love of her life Willie Lee Mobley while he was stationed in Hahn, Germany. Their military tour of duties included: Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; Thailand during the Viet Nam War and returned to Rhein Main Air Force Base, Germany. Upon returning to the states Liz furthered her education by attending Delaware Technical College in Dover, Delaware and she worked at the Playtex Company. Later in life she joined the Young’s Food Store Chain and was a manager with them for more than 25 years and retired in 2006. Liz loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her favorite past time was playing bingo with her friends. She enjoyed meeting people and socializing with her regular customers at Young’s. She always tried to help people less fortunate than herself and loved to help children by teaching them to count money in her store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Siglinde van der Bend. To celebrate her life and cherish precious memories, her loving husband; Willie Lee Mobley of the home, three loving daughters; Jacklyn Wilhelmine Talley (Steven) of Clinton, Maryland, Betina Bell (Christopher) of Youngsville, NC and Silvia Ross of Fountain, Colorado; nine grandchildren Steven James Talley Jr., Kevin William Talley, Brandon Rondell Byrd, Brielle Elisabeth Byrd, Jade Noel Talley, Kristina Mariya Talley, Jordan Emily Bell, William Lorenz Ross and Dallas Christian Bell; three brothers, Siegfried Ingensandt (Hanna), Richard (Hardi) van der Bend (Margaret), and Cornelius van der Bend (Verena), and two sisters; Annemarie Winter (Rolf) and Siglinde van der Bend (Heinz); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Day God Called You Home God looked around the garden, and saw an empty space. He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, and He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never be well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be thine." When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You’ve left us precious memories, your love will be our guide, You live on through your children, you’re always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
