Ms. Frances Lang Campbell

Frances Lang Campbell, was the 2nd youngest daughter of ten children, born to the late Marion Sr. and Isadora Anderson Lang on June 12, 1948 in Sumter County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, SC. She received her formal education in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Ebenezer High School in the Class of 1967. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Rahway, NJ where she pursued a certificate and worked as a Key Punch Operator. During her young adult years, she also lived in Florida and Washington, DC. She later relocated to Wedgefield, SC, where she became a lifelong Caregiver to her parents. Frances accepted Christ at an early age and became a lifelong member of Wayman Chapel AME Church. She loved the Lord, especially hearing His Word and connecting with others during Church fellowships. She served faithfully as a member of the Pastor's Aid Ministry and Church School Ministry. Frances enjoyed Sewing, Crocheting, Family Reunions, and Vacation travels to the beach and outings with her friends. She loved cooking, baking holiday cakes, pies, peach cobbler and made a mean macaroni and cheese dish! Whenever the opportunity arises, going shopping and eating out with family/friends was her favorite pastime. However, her most priceless passion and heart's desire was spending quality time with her family, especially, her beloved son, Craig. She was a loving and devoted mother. Frances was a very sweet, kind, humble, godly woman of integrity. Truly a woman with a big heart, lending a hand to help anyone in need. She was highly gifted and knew how to stretch her means as wide as this USA country. Her devotion to care, compassion, and love or not only her family, friends, and the Church but, simply to all mankind was a testament to her character, statue, and virtue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Marion Lang Jr., O'Donnell Lang, William Lang; two sisters, Viola Lang, Carrie Lang James. She leaves to cherish fond memories, her son Craig Edwin Campbell of Lansdowne, PA; two brothers, Warren Lang of Rahway, NJ, Freddie Lang of Wedgefield, SC; two sisters, Mary L. Gardner of Wedgefield, SC, Nellie L. Jones of Hampton, GA; special friends Janet and Hughey Bryant, HealthCare Coordinator Nicki Dawson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
