Mr. James Stuckey Jr.

James Stuckey, Jr. departed this life on Friday, March 12, 2026, at his residence in Rembert, SC. Born in Mayesville, SC, Aug 10, 1953, he was the son of the late James Curtis and Mae Belle Moses Stuckey Sr. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in the class of 1971. He was a member of High Hills AME Church, where he served as security agent, a member of the floral club, and the male choir. He was first employed at DuPont Industries and later enlisted in the United States Army, where he earned the rank of sergeant. After four years, he was honorably discharged from military duty. He returned to Rembert and was employed at DuPont Industries, where he retired after thirty years of dedicated service. After his retirement, he became an entrepreneur and opened Stucky’s Garage, which he operated until his death. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling with the Kings and Queens bowling league. Working on cars as a mechanic was his primary passion. He was preceded in death by: His parents, Curtis and Mae Bell Stuckey, his son, Timothy James Stuckey, one brother, Larry Stuckey, and two sisters, Jennifer Donald and Elouise Stuckey, a brother-in-Law, CMS John F. Gathers, father-in-law, William Wiley Sr. He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Frances G. Stuckey of eighteen years, whom he adored. His children: Daughters: Tenika Alston-Moore (Joseph C. Moore) and Dashada Webb of Sumter, SC. Sons: Cleatus Mack Wilson (Jonafaye Wilson); Derrick Stuckey (Michelle); Quincy Stuckey; Lorenzo Stuckey (Altrina Stuckey). Children he raised as his own: Robert Temoney (Sabrina); Melissa Stuckey; Rashad Stuckey; Lashad Stuckey. Eighteen grandchildren. Eleven great-grandchildren. In-laws: Mother-in-Law, Rosa Lee Wiley of Wedgfeild, SC, brother-in-law Richard Wiley (Barber) of North Pole, Alaska, sister-in-law Mary E. Gathers, Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Sister-in-law Melissa Wiley-Thompson(Timothy) of Wedgfeild, SC, and William Wiley Jr. (Lakisha), San Dusky, Ohio. Siblings: Charlesena King of (Elloit, SC); Brenda Percy of {Columbia, SC); Mae Alice McGruder (Sam McGruder), Dalzell, SC; Nancy Cornish (Columbia, SC); Lisa Stuckey-Humphrey (Bishopville, SC); Nugene Stuckey (Margret Stuckey), Thomasville, North Carolina. Aunts: Hana Moses (Brooklyn, New York); Mary Lee Walker (Atlanta, GA); Mamie Hickman (Bishopville, SC); Lillie Mae Gathers (Detroit, Michigan); Helen Oden and Ca miler James of Wedgfield, SC; Edna Wiley, Sumter, SC.
