Kendra Lyn Tillman

Reflections of Her Life Kendra Lyn Tillman was born on September 29, 1986 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC to Mary L. Tillman. Kendra transitioned to be with the Lord on October 7, 2022. Kendra relocated to Savannah, GA with her mother as a young child. As a young child Kendra loved to sing in church. She knew Jesus Christ at very a young age. One of her favorite songs to sing was “Joy” by The Georgia Mass Choir. She sang this song in various churches from Savannah, GA to Columbia, SC. Kendra was educated by the Chatham County School District in Savannah. She earned her high school diploma from Beach High School in 2005. She was formerly employed with Belk Department store for nearly six years. She attended Savannah Technical College and earned diplomas/certificates in Surgical Sterile Processing and Medical Coding. Kendra has been employed with the St. Joseph Candler Hospital Surgical department for over 11 years. Kendra is a Sickle Cell Warrior! Many people didn’t know this because she never let it hold her back from accomplishing her goals. Kendra’s colleagues describes her as an “Angel”. As she was an angel here on earth, she’s now our “Personal Angel” in heaven. Kendra was a very quiet and humble person. Kendra took pride in being a good daughter to her mother. She loved her mother, and her mother truly loves her. Kendra had a special bond with her mother. Not only did Kendra love her mother, she also loved her family and her friends. She enjoyed holidays and family gatherings. In her spare time she enjoyed reading the blogs, going to the movies, trying different restaurants and traveling. Kendra was preceded in death by her grand parents Elder Willie Richardson Tillman, Sr. and Deaconess Sarah Boyd Tillman and three uncles, Isaac R. Tillman, John W. Tillman and Deacon Willie J. Tillman,II. Kendra leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted mother, Mary L. Tillman of Savannah, GA. Two special aunts, Mamie L. Tillman of Columbia, SC and Shepard Martha B. Tillman of Savannah, GA. Two Honorary sisters, Tiffany Tillman (Nitiki) of Columbia, SC and McKenzie Tillman of Columbia, SC. Her very best friend, Ashley Byrd of Savannah, GA. Two God-Children, Ariana Holmes and Bryson Byrd both of Savannah, GA. And a host of other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
