Mrs. Sarah Linton Bundley

Life Reflections of Sarah Jane Linton Bundley Sarah Jane Linton Bundley,81, was born to the late Robert and Sarah E. Wilson Linton on December 7, 1939 in Lee County, South Carolina. She departed this life on September 14, 2021 at Vitua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey after an extended illness. Sarah graduated in 1957 from Eastern High School in Sumter, South Carolina. After graduation, she relocated to New Jersey where she met, her late husband, Tom R. Bundley. To this union four children were born. Sarah worked for many years in the retail management. She enjoyed her work and had a flair for fashion and decorating. Sarah was a hardworking mother and grandmother. She enjoyed preparing many special meals for them on Sundays and holidays. Her family always knew that’s where they could come for a good time from her kitchen. She had a genuine love for decorating and attending her high school reunions. Sarah favorite pastimes included completing puzzles, watching TV, growing houseplants, maintaining her flowerbed, and keeping a clean environment on her street corner. Mrs. Bundley also had a sense of compassion for those in her neighborhood by giving food to those who were hungry and clothing to the needed. She will always be immortalized for her keen sense of humor. In addition to her husband, and parents, three brothers: Thomas Linton, Moses Linton and Eugene Linton preceded her in death. Sarah leaves to cherish precious memories, her loving children: a son, Bernard Bundley of Orange, New Jersey, three daughters; Yvette Thomas of Orange, New Jersey, Annette and her son-in-law Anthony Williams of Columbus, New Jersey, who were her devoted care providers during her illness, Sharon Bundley-DeWar and her son-in-law Maurice DeWar of Bunnlevel, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren, Jamill,Jamall,Kelly,Markel, Anthony, Andrew, Davone, Tiffany, Bernard Jr., Deshawn, and Deion; twenty-six great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Erma) Linton Jr. of Hillside, New Jersey, Odell Linton of Sumter, South Carolina; five sisters: Laura L. Singleton, Essie L.(Junious)Shaw, Cora L.(Jerry)Baker, Geraldine L. Scott all of Sumter, South Carolina, Gardenia L. (William) Hamilton of Florence, South Carolina; one aunt, Bernethea Wilson of Sumter, South Carolina; five sisters-in-law; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 7PM to 9PM at Cotton Funeral Services. The Funeral Service will be held at Cotton Funeral Services, 130 Main Street, Orange, New Jersey on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 11 AM.
