“ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” II Timothy 4:7 Mr. Coatney John Bolden, Sr. transitioned into eternal rest Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Prisma Health Hospital of Columbia. Coatney was born on February 17, 1980 in Columbia, SC to John and Lula Grant Bolden. He began his early education at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Learning Center. He continued his education in the Public Schools of Richland County. Coatney was blessed with many talents and skills including: construction and remodeling, barbering, lawn maintenance, landscaping, music mixing, and DJ’ing special events. He was a faithful member of International Praise Church of God, where he served with the Parking Lot Ministry. He was an athletic fan and enjoyed watching wrestling, and football, his favorite team was the Carolina Panthers. He was a beloved and devoted father, son, brother, friend and neighbor. All who knew him always enjoyed a great conversation with him. He leaves to cherish precious memories: four children Lamont Thompson, Alize Minson, Coatney John Bolden, Jr. and Jadora Coatney Bolden all of Columbia, SC; one grandson Lamar Thompson of Columbia, his devoted parents John and Lula Grant Bolden of Columbia; one sister Latonya Bolden of Elgin and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
