Dorothy Ann Shuler was born March 16, 1951 in Holly Hill, SC. She is the daughter of Bessie Shuler Braxton and the late Walter C Shuler. She was educated in District One Public Schools of Columbia, SC. Dorothy was proud of her baking skills which provided varies employment opportunities in culinary industry. Raised in the Central Baptist Church, she was involved in youth activities and Sunday School. Her community involvements included volunteering with Senior Citizens and children's causes and organizations. In her spare time she enjoyed: writing, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, dancing, traveling (especially to the Midwest) and spending time with her nieces, nephews and other family members. She leaves to cherish precious memories her loving mother Bessie Shuler Braxton of the home; a daughter Tracey Segar, Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Kwame Segar, Corey Segar, Shaniqua Segar, Cira Segar; sisters: Janie Shuler Fulton, Southfield, MI, Margaret (Jerome) Watkins, Cherry Hill, NJ, Shelia Briggs of Columbia, SC, Sharon Smith (Jasper) Hamilton of Columbia, CA, her brothers Tommie (Ladonia) Shuler, George (Cynthia) Shuler all of Columbia, SC, Walter (Jackie) Shuler of Mauldin, SC, Melvin (Mary) Shuler of York, SC, Jimmy (Jules) Shuler, of Easton, PA, Tracy (Avis) Todd of Blythewood, SC, Vinson (Margie) Smith of Houston, TX, Eric Smith of Houston, TX, Chris (Kristen) Smith St Joseph, CA; Sister's in Love: Eva Diane Walker of Simpson, SC, Valerie Curtis, Deborah Shuler, Lolita Shuler all of Columbia, SC and host of other relatives and friends.
