Eura Lee Green

January 18, 1942 - May 3, 2017

Ms. Green transitioned on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Will Alston and Mary L. Wright Alston. Ms. Green was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Ebenezer High School. She was self-employed as a child care provider and a member of the Golden Girls Club in the Dalzell community. Ms. Green was a lifelong member of High Hills A.M.E. Church and served on The Eloise Missionary Board, The Rejoice Choir, and the Adult #1 Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Judge Alston, Allen Alston, Alice Gardner, Alta Mae Alston Thompson and Willie Alston, Sr. Survivors include: three daughters, Jocelyn (Belden) Gaston, Rochester NY, Kimberly Pringle and Tashime (Freddie) Taylor all of Sumter, SC; one son, Jeffrey (Jessica) Green, San Antonio, TX ; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two siblings: Sarah Rich, Dalzell, SC and Charlie Alston of Brooklyn, NY and a host of other relatives and friends.
