Eva Nola Harvin

March 13, 1949 - December 28, 2017

The concluding chapter of a precious life for Eva N. Harvin, came to an earthly end on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the home in Sumter. Born on March 13th, 1949 in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Emma Louise Spann and the late Sammie Miller. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was a member of High Hills AME Church. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and later worked at Sumter School District and Georgia Pacific until her health declined. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by a son, Michael G. Harvin and a brother, Larry Alston. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a husband Elijah Harvin of the home; one son, Timothy (Keisha) Harvin of Sumter, SC; one grandson, Brandon Cummings of Sumter, SC; a step mother, Ola Mae Miller of Neptune, NJ; two brothers, Fredrick Alston of New York and Sammie Miller, Jr. of Ocean, New Jersey; five sisters, Dorothy (Joseph) Scott of Sumter, South Carolina; Mary Miller of Asbury Park, NJ; Shirley (David) Clayton of Neptune, NJ; Cynthia Berrien and Deborah Miller both of Neptune, NJ; one step-sister, Jacqueline (James) Williams of Sumter, SC; two uncles, Francis Miller of Neptune, NJ and Ronald Singleton of Mt. Vernon, NY; two aunts, Shirley McLane of Horatio, SC and Cynthia Crenshaw of Mt. Vernon, NY; a devoted cousin, Maggie Harris of Rembert, SC; nine sister-in-law(s), Agnes Grayson of Capital Heights, MD; Rosa Stokes of Bronx, NY; Mary (William) Young of Brooklyn, NY; Emma (Cedric) Washington of Brooklyn, NY; Patricia Harvin of Fairfax, VA; Sallie Mae Harvin of West Haven, CT; Naomi Harvin, Elease Johnson and Sarah Harvin all of Sumter, SC; one brother-in-law, Thomas Harvin of Bronx, NY; devoted father figure, Jerry Williams of Sumter, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews ,family and friends.
