Florabell Fulwood

Florabell Fulwood entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at her residence in Sumter. Born on March 4, 1930 in Sumter County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Emma Green Scott. Florabell was baptized at an early age as a member of the Ashbury United Methodist Church in Lynchburg, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Later, she received a certificate in floral design and decoration. At a young age, Florabell met and married Louis Fulwood and to this loving union, they were blessed with two sons, George Scott and Randolph Fulwood. After this union, Mrs. Fulwood joined membership with her husband at Mt. Sinai A.M.E Church, in Lynchburg. She was a faithful member and served in many auxiliaries to include: the Stewardess Board, Pulpit Aide, the Senior Usher Board, and the Floral Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons, George Scott and Randolph Fulwood; one grandson, George Scott, Jr. and all of her siblings. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: four grandchildren, Candace, Leslie, Randall and Andre; many great-grands; two children she reared, Madeline Kahn and Leo Sorell; a daughter-in-law Elizabeth Scott, Philadelphia, PA; four Sisters-in-law, Wilhelmenia Scott, Rembert, SC, Margaret Scott, Westbury, NY, Mary Fulwood, Lynchburg, SC and Evelyn Leevy, Sumter, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
