Mrs. Henrietta Martin Ferrell

May 7, 1934 - January 27, 2022

Mrs. Henrietta Martin Ferrell was born May 7, 1934 in Columbia, South Carolina. She transitioned to her heavenly home on January 27, 2022. The youngest of five children born to the late Henry Allen Martin and Mamie Lucille Frazier Martin. A graduate of C. A. Johnson High School Class of 1952, Henrietta studied Cosmetology, worked at Tots To Teens Clothing Store, Horseman Doll Factory, and J. B. White's until retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics at Greenview Park and was involved several years with the Richland County Recreation Center Senior Games. She also was a precinct poll worker at Meadowlake Park. Henrietta served many years as an Usher at First Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. She was also a member of the Senior Missionary, Pulpit Aide, Fruit of the Spirit Ministry, the Jubilee Choir, and the Repast Committee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ferrell was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ferrell, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie Wilson; son, Juan Ferrell; two brothers, Robert E. Martin and Henry Martin, Jr.; two sisters, Lillian Martin and Vivian Heyward. Henrietta leaves to cherish her loving memories: one daughter, Pamela Thomas; one son, Reginald Watson; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one adopted grand child; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
