Simon Leroy Richardson was born November 8th 1947 in Pinewood, South Carolina to the late mother, Daisy (Paul) Richardson Spann and was raised by his loving grandparents, Agnes (Tolar) Rhymes Richardson. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the home of his sister, Annie Mae Johnson in Pinewood. Simon, also affectionately known as “Shoo-pooh” attended Manchester High School. During his life’s journey, he worked several jobs as a farmer, School Bus Driver, l ong distant Truck Driver and worked in mechanics. But in his leisure time, he loved fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thomasenia Brown Richardson; mother, Daisy Richardson; and step-father, Paul Richardson; grandmother Agnes Rhymes Richardson and grandfather, Tolar Richardson; two brothers: David Lee Spann and Raymond Spann and nephew a Michael Anthony Spann. He leaves to cherish precious memories, Sons: Ernest Brown and Maurice (Myesha) Richardson of Columbia, South Carolina, James (Yolanda) Brown, Gastonia, North Carolina and a daughter Amy Richardson, Montgomery, Alabama; four grandchildren; sister, Annie Mae Johnson, Pinewood, South Carolina; Brothers: Paul Spann, Jr., Sumter, South Carolina and Carl (Frances) Spann, Sacramento, California; a favorite aunt, Patricia Ann Richardson; niece, Marie Antoinette Richardson, Pinewood, South Carolina; nephews: Craig (Hope) Spann, Sumter, South Carolina, Gregory (Michelle) Spann of Florida and Terrence Johnson of Idaho; and a host of other nieces, nephews.
