Stephen Anthony Thompson

November 18, 1964 - May 29, 2017

A bright shining soul found his eternal rest Monday, May 29, 2017, at Palmetto Health Richland after a lifelong struggle with illness. Stephen Anthony Thompson, affectionately known as Stevie, was born November 18, 1964 in Columbia, South Carolina as one of three children born to the union of the late Grady Thompson and the former Ida G. Free, Although his interaction with the physical world was limited, Stevie touched the lives of many around him with his love of music and instinctual inclination toward the movement of the Spirit. As his brother was fond of saying, Stevie could just feel things and would move accordingly. Stevie was preceded by his father in death but leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother, Mrs. Ida Thompson; siblings: Reverend Kevin (Denise) Thompson and Melissa (Mark) Gresham; two nephews: Reverend Wesley (Lindsey) Thompson and Seth Thompson; a niece, Markie (Rob) Walden; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
