“I will lift up mine eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help; my help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth.” A Time To Be Born: Mrs. Loretta Christine Harvin Green, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus and Katie Mae Wright and Ms. Frances Gathers, was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born December 24, 1951 in Sumter County, South Carolina. A Time To Serve: At an early age in life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, Sumter, South Carolina. A Time To Grow and Learn: Loretta received her formal education in the public schools of Sumter, South Carolina. She was a 1971 graduate of Edmunds High School, Sumter, South Carolina. She was employed at Exide for 18 years. Later, she moved to N. Little Rock, Arkansas and work in Home Health. A Time To Love: Loretta met and married Mr. Louis Green. She was loving and dedicated to her family. Her family was very important to her. The bond and love for her family was unbreakable, and her love for God was even stronger. Loretta, you have kept the faith, the battle has been fought and the victory has been won. We, your family, love you more than words can say. We’ll miss you dearly. A Time To Remember: Loretta was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Rufus and Katie Mae Wright and Ms. Frances Gathers; two brothers: Christopher Wright and Ricky Wright. A Time To Mourn: She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving husband, Louis Green of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two loving sons: Shaun Harvin of Sumter, South Carolina and Sharod Harvin of Little Rock, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Washeta (Kenneth) Hargrove of Sumter, South Carolina; four brothers: Samuel(Mae Frances) Harvin of Columbia, South Carolina Rufus Wright II of Jacksonville, Florida, Franklin (Janie) Wright of Sumter, South Carolina, and Apostle d Reginald (Mary) Wright, Sr. of Anderson, South Carolina; four sisters: Shearn K.(John) Smith, Cynthia(Joseph)Wright, and Corlen (Ransom) Montgomery of all of Sumter, South Carolina, and Tilya Wright of Columbia, South Carolina; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two special sisters-in-law: Jean Wright and Pearl Wright, both of Jacksonville, Florida; best friend, Minister Eartha Wilson; and one godson, Jody Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
