Mr. Matthew Tyrone Randle

Matthew Tyrone Randle departed this earthly life on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown in Columbia, South Carolina. Born on December 17, 1967, in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the youngest child of the late Charles E. Randle, Sr. and Jenetha H. Randle. Matthew was a graduate of W.J. Keenan High School, Class of 1985, and he enrolled at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina where he studied Industrial Electricity prior to joining the United States Military. After proudly serving his country, Matthew began a career at Ben Arnold Beverage Company, now Breakthru Beverage South Carolina, later becoming a Route Driver and Territory Manager at Budweiser of Columbia. Following retirement from the beverage industry, Matthew became a member of the Sales Team at Midlands Honda in Columbia, South Carolina. Throughout his career as a serviceman and civilian, Matthew was always known to be a thoughtful, kind, respected, and hardworking individual with a smile and sense of humor that would light up every room. Matthew was a lifelong member of Second Nazareth Baptist Church of Columbia, SC, where he was baptized as a child. He was an avid sports fan who proudly cheered on the Clemson Tigers, and his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. More importantly, Matthew was a loving father to his five (5) children and an adoring “Pop Pop” to his three (3) grandchildren. He was a gentle giant, with a heart full of love, who made everyone he encountered feel seen, heard, and special. Matthew was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Randle, Sr., and his brother Charles Edward Randle, Jr. He is survived by his loving mother Jenetha H. Randle of Columbia, SC, his daughters, Courtney Davenport Roberts (Gerrard) most recently of Charlotte, NC, Kamara Imani-Marie Randle of Covington, GA, Keisha Nicole Randle of Columbia, SC, Crystal Erin Randle of Fayetteville, GA, his son, Joshua Elijah Randle of Fayetteville, GA, his grandchildren Karsyn Jones, Leilani Jones, and Ezekiel Jones of Covington, GA, his nieces Kelly Randle Witherspoon (Merrissa) of Rock Hill, SC, Kennedy Randle of Columbia, SC, his nephew Corey Randle of New York, NY, and his loving partner Jackie Bates of Columbia, SC, and a host of loved ones, relatives and friends.
