Mr Randy McKnight

Randy McKnight was born June 2, 1974 in Pinewood, South Carolina. He was the son of James Gooden and Elease McKnight. His formal education was obtained in the public schools of Sumter County. He continued his education at Benedict College, Columbia, South Carolina. His career developed from being a master of operating farm machinery to driving trucks. Driving trucks became one of his most enjoyable passion; traveling throughout the United States picking up and making deliveries. Randy was active in the community with his neighbors and friends. The organization he enjoyed most was the Pinewood Hunting Club . He acquired he name “Catdog” because of his ability to seek out deer, coons, rabbits, squirrels and his ability to be one of the best shooters in club. The name Catdog was given to him by his football coach and team members, because of his quickness to get the job done on field. Randy taught his younger cousins and friends the trade of surviving in the forest among the wildlife. Randy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Henry McKnight, who reared him in the home along with his mother. His fraternal grandfather, Mr. James Gooden and a cousin reared in the home with him, Henry McKnight, Jr. He is leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Frizeal Oliver Stukes McKnight, Three daughters Valencia S.Walker, Shakeria & Shaquasia Mcknight all of Pinewood, S.C. and two stepdaughters Shavonnie & Amani Stukes both of Manning, S.C. His Parents James Gooden(Carolyn) of Wichita Kansas & Elease Mcknight of Pinewood S.C.; two sisters, Loreal G.(Micheal) Benitez of Wichita, Kansas & Lakisha Gooden of Sumter S.C.; two Brothers Kevin Conyers & Kenedall Dow both of Sumter S.C,; nine Uncles, Henry McKnight, Sr.(Queen), and Ernest McKnight, of New York, Johnny, Albert , Richard , and Herbert McKnight of Pinewood, S.C.; Willie McKnight of Altanta, GA., Lee Gooden of Pinewood, SC, & Leroy Gooden of Sumter, S.C. Four aunts, Essie Mae (Freddie) Brunson, Ellenora G. Amos, Camilla (Isiah) Conyers, all of Pinewood & Anita (Glover) Duren of Sumter; five grandaunts, Ruth (Lincoln) Brock, Alice Thompson, Julia T. Wright, Pearl M. Brunson, and Georgia Mae Mcknight; a cousin reared in the home, Stanley McKnight; a Father-in-Law, Fredrick Oliver, Jr.; two Brothers-in-law, two Sisters-in-law; three godparents, Rev. Melissa (Sam) Green, John Spann and Moise Pack.
