Mrs. Tamara Lynn McClary

Tamara Lynn (Brandenburg) McClary, affectionally known as Tam, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica, NY on February 27th, 1972, Tamara was the daughter of Albert & Suzanne Brandenburg. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School Class of 1990, and she received her Bachelor's Degree from University of Phoenix. On June 28th, 2007, she married the love of her life, Robert Donnell McClary, with whom she shared nearly 17 years of love and devotion. As a military family, they traveled throughout the United States, and eventually settled in Hopkins, South Carolina. Robert & Tamara worshipped at the Brook under the leadership of Bishop Simeon and Pastor Nikki Moultrie, a Christian church where Tamara's faith and love for God only deepened and provided a source of great strength during her later years. Tamara's greatest joy was her family, and she was happiest when she was around them. She was her mother's baby, and the apple of her father's eye. As a child, she loved doing activities with her dad. including playing and watching various sports. She was a diehard fan of the New York Giants football team. She additionally enjoyed family weekend camping trips with her two big sisters and Sunday dinners at her grandparents’ home, a tradition that she continued in her own home. She adored her husband Robert, and he returned that love wholeheartedly. She treasured her bond with her son Daniel and her daughters, Alyssa and Aerial. She especially cherished her role as GiGi to her granddaughter Eryn. Tamara developed special bonds with her mother- and father-in love, and Robert's sisters were also like sisters to her. Tamara enjoyed being a part of their lives and made sure that she was at every special occasion, even when her health made it challenging. Tamara is survived by her dedicated husband, Robert Donnell McClary; her son, Daniel A. Weston; her daughters, Alyssa D. Weston and Aerial B. Brunson; her parents, Albert & Suzanne Brandenburg; Father and Mother-in-Love, Robert & Matilda McClary; Sisters and Brothers-in-Love, Denise & David Flihan and Kimberly & Michael Tartaglia; Sisters-in-Love and Brothers in Love, Renee & Chuck Peterson and Lekisha & Randall Fulwood; and her granddaughter, Eryn Jade "EJ" Goodson. She was "Auntie Tam" to fourteen nieces and nephews, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves to mourn, her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family will continually honor and commemorate Tamara’s life.
